On Black Friday, Nov. 27, the mall’s event page says it is open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., with free tote bags for the first 200 shoppers at Center Court. Shoppers can vote Nov. 27-29 for the best of 11 decorated storefronts, including Macy’s and Dillard’s, in the mall’s Window Wonderland Challenge; the winner is announced Dec. 1.
Santa arrives at the mall on Friday, Nov. 20, with a celebration from 5 to 7 p.m., and takes photos at Santa’s Coastal Cottage, near JCPenney, through Dec. 24, according to the mall’s Santa page. The mall’s gift wrapping station is listed from Nov. 27 to Dec. 24.
On Nov. 21-22 the mall holds a Hometown Vendor Market with local small businesses, artisans and makers selling handmade goods, specialty foods, home decor, candles, jewelry and gifts.

Downtown Melbourne and Small Business Saturday
Historic downtown’s shops, galleries and boutiques run along East New Haven Avenue and the side streets around Vernon Place, Melbourne Court and Strawbridge Avenue. Melbourne Main Street’s business directory lists them.
Main Street’s holiday shopping nights for 2026 had not been posted when we checked. In 2025 the downtown tree lighting on the Saturday after Thanksgiving opened Candlelight Shopping, four Saturday evenings from 4 to 8 p.m., with a cookie crawl and a stocking-stuffer night. Details are on our Christmas parade and tree lighting page.
The Farmer’s Market at Riverview Park, 2400 Riverview Drive, runs 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Small Business Saturday, as it does every Saturday through May. See our farmers markets guide.
Parking and traffic
Melbourne Main Street’s directory lists these public parking options downtown:

During last year’s tree lighting the city closed New Haven Avenue between Campbell Park and Municipal Lane from 2 to 8 p.m. and waived fees in city-owned lots. The Christmas parade on Saturday, Dec. 12, will also close downtown streets; routes are posted by the City Clerk’s Office. More on getting around Melbourne.
