Where it is and the parade route

In 2026 the festival moved from the downtown streets to the Melbourne Auditorium, 625 E. Hibiscus Blvd., which the organizer said gave it indoor and outdoor space, separate zones for vendors, families and performances, and an air-conditioned theater for the entertainment.

The parade kicked off from the auditorium at 11 a.m. “heading down Hickory St. and wrapping around E. New Haven Avenue,” the organizer said, and Space Coast Pride posts a parade and festival map each year.

Road closures and parking

The organizer’s 2026 traffic plan set these closures for parade day:

  • The parade route was closed from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The parade itself ran from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • Staging was on Lake Street south of Silver Palm Avenue, with overflow on Hickory Street south of the fire station driveway.
  • Strawbridge Avenue: Melbourne police controlled the parade at the Hickory Street signal, and detoured eastbound traffic at Pine Street and westbound traffic at Waverly Place as needed.

For parking, Space Coast Pride points visitors to the city’s downtown public parking. Our getting around Melbourne guide lists the City Hall garage and the free public lots. Free shuttles provided by Matthew’s Hope carried people between the parade and the festival in 2026.
